ODL (or the Object Design League) promotes experimental and independent object design through public exhibitions and events. Chicago’s design community includes not only designers, but also educators, retailers, manufacturers, fabricators, and, of course, a captive audience. Through events, exhibitions, and publications, ODL brings all parties together to bolster the city’s budding contemporary design scene.
ODL operates out of the Spice Barrel District, an emerging creative industries district between Pilsen and Chinatown in Chicago, IL. Projects to date: gallery exhibit Promise of this Moment (2009), Guerrilla Truck Show (2009), pop-up shop Worth Your Salt (2009), designer conversation Intermediate Species: giffin’termeer (2010), workshop BAGS (2010), booth at the New York International Gift Fair (2010), Chicago Designer’s Meet-N-Greet HELLO-DL (2010), dance party GET LO-DL (2011), and host to exhibition Third Space (2011), and more.
We're in the process of launching ODLCO, our new online shop and design brand.
